The school created The Stephen Hawking Society as part of a tribute to the former pupil. As part of this, many famous scientists such as the 2001 Nobel Prize winner, Dr Tim Hunt, have given lectures at the school. The headmaster is Jonathan Gillespie, appointed in 2014, he has taught at various schools such as Highgate and Fettes college and was educated at Selwyn college, Cambridge. His first experience of headship was at Lancing College.
