- Una tècnica científica és qualsevol d'obtenir informació sobre una naturalesa científica o obtenir un material desitjat o un producte. Les tècniques científiques es poden dividir en molts grups diferents, per exemple: 1.
* Tècniques preparatives 2. 1.
* Tècniques de síntesi, p. Ex. l'ús de reactius Grignard en química orgànica 3. 2.
* Tècniques de creixement, p. Ex. o cultiu cel·lular en biologia 4. 3.
* Tècniques de purificació, en química 5.
* Tècniques de mesura 6. 1.
* Tècniques d'anàlisi, p. Ex. aquelles que revelen la composició atòmica o molecular. 7. 2.
* Tècniques de caracterització, p. Ex. aquelles que mesuren una certa propietat d'un material. 8. 3.
* Tècniques d'imatges, p. Ex. microscòpia En alguns casos, aquests mètodes s'han convertit en tècniques instrumentals que requereixen equips cars. Això és particularment cert en ciències com física, química i astronomia. És acostumat a abreujar els noms de les tècniques en sigles, encara que això no es mantingui per a totes. Particularment, l'arribada de l'ordinador ha donat lloc a una veritable proliferació en la quantitat de tècniques fins al punt que pocs científics encara tenen una bona visió sobre tot el que hi ha disponible. - A scientific technique is any systematic way of obtaining information about a scientific nature or to obtain a desired material or product. Scientific techniques can be divided in many different groups, e.g.: 1.

* Synthesis techniques, e.g. the use of Grignard reagents in organic chemistry 3. 2.
* Growth techniques, e.g. crystal growth or cell cultures in biology 4. 3.

* Characterization techniques, e.g. ones that measure a certain property of a material. 8. 3.
* Imaging techniques, e.g. microscopy In some cases these methods have evolved into instrumental techniques that require expensive equipment. This is particularly true in sciences like physics, chemistry, and astronomy. It is customary to abbreviate the names of techniques into acronyms, although this does not hold for all of them. Particularly the advent of the computer has led to a true proliferation in the number of techniques to the point that few scientists still have a good overview over all that is available.
