- 'جمعية الهلال الأحمر القطري ، 'تأسس الهلال الأحمر القطري في مارس عام 1978 كأول منظمة خيرية تطوعية في قطر بهدف مساعدة وتمكين الأفراد والمجتمعات الضعيفة دون تحيز أو تمييز، وتم الاعتراف به دوليا في عام 1981 بانضمامه إلى اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في جنيف، كما انضم إلى الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر في نفس العام. وقد ظل الهلال طوال تاريخه العريق يمارس دوره المساند لدولة قطر في جهودها الإنسانية، واضعا نصب عينيه رسالة أساسية وهي تحسين حياة الضعفاء بتفعيل طاقات الإنسانية داخل قطر وخارجها. - La branche qatarie de la Société du Croissant-Rouge, le Croissant-Rouge du Qatar (« CRQ »), a été créé en 1978. En 1981, l’organisation a reçu la reconnaissance officielle du Comité international de la Croix-Rouge à Genève et a rejoint la Fédération internationale de la Croix -Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge. Le CRQ est également membre du Secrétariat des Sociétés arabes du Croissant-Rouge, basé à Djeddah en Arabie Saoudite. En 1982, le CRQ est la première organisation caritative du Qatar à accueillir des volontaires féminins. Le siège de l’association est à Doha. Sa principale mission est de porter secours aux victimes de catastrophes naturelles et de conflits armés, et de combattre la pauvreté en fournissant des services sociaux et humanitaires. (fr)
- The Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS; Arabic: جمعية الهلال الأحمر القطري), the Qatari branch of the Red Crescent Society, was established in 1978. In 1981, it gained international recognition from the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva and joined the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). It is also a member of the Secretariat of Arab Red Crescent Societies in Jeddah. It became the first philanthropic organization in Qatar to establish a women's branch in 1982. QRC is headquartered in Doha, but the organization works throughout the country. Their primary goal is to reduce detrimental effects of catastrophe and relieve suffering by contributing social and humanitarian services coinciding with the mission of its parent organization, the Red Crescent.
