Quintus Tineius Rufus, also known as Turnus Rufus the Evil (Hebrew: טוּרְנוּסְרוּפוּס הָרָשָׁע‎ Ṭūrnūsrūfūs hāRāšā‘, sometimes spelled טוֹרָנוּסְרוּפוּס‎ Ṭōrānūsrūfūs) in Jewish sources (c. 90 AD – after 131 AD) was a senator and provincial governor under the Roman Empire. He is known for his role unsuccessfully combating the early uprising phase of the Jews under Simon bar Kokhba and Elasar.

(uk) Quintus Tineius Rufus was een Romeins politicus aan het begin van de tweede eeuw na Chr. Hij behoorde tot de patriciërsstand. Van mei tot oktober 127 was hij consul suffectus. Van 130 of 131 tot 134 was hij legatus Augusti pro praetore van Judea. Tijdens zijn ambtstermijn besloot keizer Hadrianus van Jeruzalem, dat er sinds de verwoesting aan het einde van de Joodse Oorlog in 70 desolaat bijlag, een colonia te maken met de naam Aelia Capitolina. Dit riep onder de Joden in Judea echter veel weerstand op. Onder aanvoering van Simon bar Kochba brak in 132 een opstand uit. Bar Kochba riep een onafhankelijke Joodse staat uit en voerde een guerrilla tegen de Romeinse legers. Hoewel hij hulp kreeg van de legatus van Syria, , en het legio III Gallica, slaagde Rufus er met het in Judea gelegerde le (nl) Kwintus Tinnejusz Rufus był rzymskim politykiem żyjącym w II wieku. Należał do patrycjuszowskiego rodu. Od maja do października 127 był konsulem dodatkowym (consul suffectus). W latach 130/131 - 134 był legatem (legatus Augusti pro praetore) Judei. W tym czasie wybuchło powstanie Bar-Kochby. Rufus nie umiał przeciwstawić się rewolucjonistom i został z kretesem pobity.
