- Piero Malvestiti (26 June 1899 – 5 November 1964) was an Italian politician who was a minister in successive governments in the 1940s and 1950s, a European Commissioner and President of the High Authority of the European Coal and Steel Community. He was one of the founders of the Christian Democratic party in 1942, when he merged his own with the Italian Peoples Party. In the succeeding De Gasperi WAYS government from 1951 to 1953 he served as Minister for Transport. In the succeeding Giuseppe Pella government from 1953 to 1954 he served as Minister for Industry and commerce. (en)
