Korea State, currently spelled as Koriya, was a princely state of the British Empire of India. After Indian independence in 1947, the ruler of Korea acceded to the Union of India on 1 January 1948, and Koriya was made part of Surguja District of Central Provinces and Berar province. In January 1950, "Central Provinces and Berar" province was renamed Madhya Pradesh state. After November 2000, Korea and the former princely state of Changbhakar became Koriya district of Chhattisgarh state. Korea had an area of 1,631 sq. miles and a population of 126,874 as of 1941.

  • Korea fou un estat tributari protegit a les Províncies Centrals de l'Índia Britànica amb una superfície de 4.429 km². Fou part de la divisió de Chhota Nagpur a Bengala fins al 1905, any en què fou transferit a les Províncies Centrals. Limitava al nord amb Rewa; a l'est amb Surguja; al sud amb el districte de Bilaspur i a l'oest amb Chang Bhakar i Rewa. Estava format per un altiplà amb diversos rierols amb una altura mitjana de 550 metres i cap a l'est, a l'altiplà Sonhat arriba a 768 metres i al nord a les muntanyes de Korea arriba a 1044 metres al puig Deogarh.
