| - Eureka is a side-wheel paddle steamboat, built in 1890, which is now preserved at the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park in San Francisco, California. Originally named Ukiah to commemorate the railway's recent extension into the City of Ukiah, the boat was built by the San Francisco and North Pacific Railroad Company at their Tiburon yard. Eureka has been designated a National Historic Landmark and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on April 24, 1973. She is the largest existing wooden ship in the world. (en)

Oorspronkelijk had de boot de naam Ukiah om te herdenken dat het spoorwegnet indertijd uitgebreid was naar de plaats Ukiah. De boot deed in eerste instantie dienst tussen San Francisco en Tiburon, later op de lijn Sausalito–San Francisco. De veerboot kon 2300 passagiers en 120 auto's vervoeren; het was destijds met een lengte van 90,76 m en een breedte van 23,6 m de grootste veerboot ter wereld. De Eureka was tot 1958 in gebruik. De boot is sinds 1985 een National Historic Landmark. (nl)
