The Battle of Suwon Airfield was the first aerial battle of the Korean War occurring on June 27, 1950 over Kimpo Airfield and Suwon Airfield. The battle, between aircraft of the United States and North Korea, ended in a victory for the US Air Force after nine of its aircraft successfully shot down seven North Korean People's Air Force aircraft. It was the first direct engagement of the Air Battle of South Korea.

(en) 수원비행장 전투는 1950년 6월 27일 김포비행장과 수원비행장 상공에서 일어난 한국 전쟁 최초의 공중전이다. 미국과 북한의 항공기 사이에서 일어났으며, 미 공군이 조선인민군 항공의 항공기 9기 중 7기를 격추시키며 승리하였다. 대한민국이 직접 교전한 첫 항공 전투이기도 하다. 이틀 전인 6월 25일, 한국에서 전쟁이 발발하자 미군은 북한군과 한국군 사이의 전투가 진행 중인 서울에 있던 미국 국적 민간인들과 외교관을 대피시키려 시도하였다. 미국 전투기의 호위를 받은 수송기와 선박이 민간인을 태워 가능한 빨리 한국에서 빠져나가게 하려 했다. 하지만 6월 27일 임무를 수행하면서 미군이 서울에서 두 번이나 북한 항공기의 공격을 받게 되었고, 이에 미군이 수적으로 열세임에도 불구하고, 더 좋은 성능의 미국 항공기를 보냈고, 북한군을 능가하며 공격력을 절반으로 떨어뜨렸다.
