Theodore Yaotsu Wu (Chinese: 吴耀祖; pinyin: Wú Yàozǔ; born 20 March 1924) is an American engineer. He is a Professor Emeritus of Engineering Science at the California Institute of Technology. His research contribution includes compressible fluid flow, free-streamline theory of cavities, jets and wakes, water waves and free-surface flows, mechanics of fish swimming and bird/insect flight, wind and ocean-current energy, and internal waves in the ocean.

(en) 吴耀祖（英語：Theodore Yaotsu Wu，1924年3月20日－），美籍华裔流体力学家，加州理工学院荣休教授。 (zh) Theodore Yao-Tsu Wu (* 20. März 1924 in Changzhou) ist ein chinesisch-US-amerikanischer Ingenieurwissenschaftler. Wu studierte an der Chiao-Tung-Nationaluniversität in Shanghai mit dem Bachelor-Abschluss 1946, lehrte dann ein Jahr und ging 1948 in die USA. Dort machte er im selben Jahr an der Iowa State University seinen Master-Abschluss und ging dann als Caltech, wo er bei Paco Lagerstrom 1952 promoviert wurde. Er entwickelte bei Lagerstrom dessen asymptotische Methoden zur Lösung von Strömungsproblemen weiter und arbeitete auch über Wasserwellen und Hydrodynamik. 1955 wurde er Assistant Professor und 1961 Professor für Angewandte Mechanik am Caltech. 1996 ging er in den Ruhestand, blieb aber weiter wissenschaftlich aktiv.
