- Le référendum constitutionnel irlandais, tenu le 12 juin 2008, avait pour objet la ratification du Traité de Lisbonne. Celui-ci a été rejeté par 53,4 % des voix contre 46,6 %. Techniquement le référendum portait sur le vingt-huitième amendement à la Constitution, projet de loi déposé par le Gouvernement irlandais en 2008 destiné à amender la Constitution de l'Irlande dans le but de pouvoir ratifier le Traité de Lisbonne relatif aux institutions de l'Union européenne. - The Twenty-eighth Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2008 (bill no. 14 of 2008) was a proposed amendment to the Constitution of Ireland that was put to a referendum in 2008 (the first Lisbon referendum). The purpose of the proposed amendment was to allow the state to ratify the Treaty of Lisbon of the European Union. The amendment was rejected by voters on 12 June 2008 by a margin of 53.4% to 46.6%, with a turnout of 53.1%. The treaty had been intended to enter into force on 1 January 2009, but had to be delayed following the Irish rejection. However, the Lisbon treaty was approved by Irish voters when the Twenty-eighth Amendment of the constitution was approved in the second Lisbon referendum, held in October 2009. (en)

Het betreft een amendement op de Ierse grondwet die het mogelijk moet maken om het Verdrag van Lissabon mogelijk te maken per 1 januari 2009. De Ierse wet schrijft voor dat verandering van de grondwet enkel plaats kan per referendum. (nl)

W pozostałej części kraju głosowanie odbyło się 12 czerwca 2008 roku. Do wcześniejszego głosowania przystąpili także żołnierze z misji EUFOR Althea. Przedmiotem referendum była ratyfikacja traktatu lizbońskiego. Irlandia jako jedyne państwo UE zadecydowała o ratyfikacji traktatu w drodze referendum. Referendum wynika z konieczności wprowadzenia w związku z traktatem zmian do Konstytucji Irlandii, które muszą być zatwierdzone w formie głosowania powszechnego. Przepisy nie wymagały osiągnięcia określonego progu wyborczego. W głosowaniu Irlandczycy opowiedzieli się przeciwko ratyfikacji traktatu. (pl)
- O referendo constitucional irlandês de 2008 foi realizado em 12 de junho. Foi votado um projeto de lei introduzido pelo governo do país para ratificar o Tratado de Lisboa. De acordo com a Constituição da Irlanda, as decisões mais importantes a nível nacional ou internacional que envolvam a Irlanda, devem ser referendadas. Os resultados foram anunciados no dia seguinte, dando maioria absoluta ao "não", chumbando assim o Tratado reformador da União Europeia. (pt)
