- Tapanahoni o Tapanahony es uno de los seis ressorts en los que se divide el distrito de Sipaliwini, en Surinam. El ressort toma su nombre del río Tapanahoni cuyas localidades se encuentran alrededor de sus orillas. Es el ressort, más grande del país. Limita al norte con los distritos de Brokopondo, Para y Marowijne, al oriente con Guayana Francesa, cuya frontera está disputada; al sur limita con Brasil y al occidente con los ressorts Coeroeni y Boven Suriname. Para el 2004, Tapanahoni según cifras de la Oficina Central de Asuntos Civiles (CBB), tenía 13 805 habitantes. Una de las localidades más grandes en este ressort es Apetina. (es)

Tapanahoni is a part of Sipaliwini which has no capital, but is directly governed from Paramaribo. Tapanahony is an enormous resort which encompasses a quarter of the country of Suriname. The most important town is Diitabiki (old name: Drietabbetje) which is the residence of the granman of the Ndyuka people since 1950, and the location of the oracle. The disputed area of south-east Suriname between the Marowini (the eastern tributary river) and the Litani rivers belongs to the Tapanahoni resort. (en)

- De Tapanahony, Sranantongo Tapanahoni, is een van de zeven ressorten waaruit het Surinaamse district Sipaliwini bestaat. Het ressort is vernoemd naar de rivier Tapanahony die door dit gebied stroomt. In het oosten grenst het ressort Tapanahony aan Frans-Guyana met op de grens de rivieren Marowijne en de Lawa, maar in het zuiden is het gedeelte tussen de rivieren de Litani en de Marouini (de Franse benaming voor Marowijne) betwist gebied wat Suriname rekent tot het ressort Tapanahony. Ten zuiden van Tapanahony ligt Brazilië met het en het Toemoek-Hoemakgebergte als grens. In het zuidwesten vormt het Eilerts de Haangebergte de grens met het ressort Coeroenie. Meer naar het noorden grenst Tapanahony met het ressort Boven-Suriname en districten Brokopondo, Para en Marowijne. Het district Sipaliwini werd in 1983 gevormd waarbij gedeeltes van andere districten werden samengevoegd tot wat eerst het district "binnenland" zou gaan heten. Het ressort Tapanahony komt grofweg overeen met het gebied dat van het district Marowijne werd overgedragen aan het nieuwe district. In 1996 had Tapanahony volgens cijfers van het Centraal Bureau voor Burgerzaken (CBB) 8.120 bewoners. Een van de grotere dorpen in dit ressort is de goudzoekersplaats Benzdorp. (nl)
