- Susie Q est une chanson rockabilly américaine, écrite et composée par Dale Hawkins, Stan Lewis et Eleanor Broadwater. Interprétée par Dale Hawkins, chanteur et guitariste, elle sort en 45 tours en mai 1957 et se classe 27e au Billboard Hot 100 et 7e dans le classement Rhythm & Blues Singles. Le titre devient un classique du rock, il est repris par les Rolling Stones puis par le Creedence Clearwater Revival. He wrote it with bandmate Robert Chaisson, but when released, Stan Lewis, the owner of Jewel/Paula Records and whose daughter Susan was the inspiration for the song, and Eleanor Broadwater, the wife of Nashville DJ Gene Nobles, were credited as co-writers to give them shares of the royalties.
