- Publikování z jednoho zdroje (anglicky single source publishing) zastřešuje různé dokumentační systémy, které umožňují export do různých formátů z jednoho primárního zdroje dat. Veškeré obsahové změny tak stačí provádět na jediném místě. Za nezbytné minimum lze považovat export do formátů HTML a PDF. (cs)
- Unter Single Source Publishing (auch Einzelquellenausgabe) verstand man ursprünglich Verfahren, um aus einer Quelle mehrere Ausgabeformate zu erstellen – also etwa mit Winword-Makros und Absatzformaten aus einem Winword-Dokument sowohl Druckausgabe, als auch Online-Formate wie Winhelp und HTML zu erzeugen. Dieser Ansatz arbeitete mit einfachen 1:1-Relationen zwischen Absatzformaten und Ausgabeformatierung, also etwa „Überschrift1 … Überschrift3 bedeutet den Anfang einer neuen (HTML/Winhelp-) Seite (Topic), Überschrift4 ist der Anfang eines Pop-Up“. Mit einfachen Mitteln kann man ein Überschrift1-Topic mit einem Inhaltsverzeichnis mit den folgenden Überschrift2-Topics versehen und so einen hierarchischen Aufruf der Topics ermöglichen. So arbeitete z. B. bis etwa 2003 . Neuere Konzepte, die sich stark auf Metadaten und z. B. mit XML-Methoden stützen, erlauben mittlerweile komplexere Verarbeitungsalgorithmen. Hierbei wird das „eigentliche Dokument“ immer mehr zu einer Sammlung von Verweisen auf Datenmodule, die zumeist in einer Datenbank gespeichert werden. Diese Datenmodule enthalten inhaltlich orientierte Auszeichnungen, ganz typisch mit XML-Tags. Das Autorenwerkzeug „weiß“ also viel mehr über die Inhalte und kann folglich auch leistungsfähigere Verarbeitungsalgorithmen wie Database Publishing anwenden. Extreme Beispiele solcher Ansätze sind und S1000D. Wesentliches Ziel solcher Systeme ist das mehrfache Verwenden vorhandener Datenmodule. Ein Thema, ein Warnhinweis, eine oft verwendete Anleitung werden nur noch einfach in der Datenbank gehalten und bei Bedarf in die Ausgabeinstanz eingebunden. - La publicación desde una sola fuente (del inglés single-source publishing) o SSP (su acrónimo en inglés) es un método de administración de contenido que permite la publicación ilimitada de un documento en diferentes soportes de medios. El laborioso y costoso trabajo de edición solo debe realizarse una vez en un solo documento; ese documento original (la única fuente) se puede almacenar en un solo lugar, así como permite su reutilización o la vinculación a otros archivos (como plantillas, archivos de medios, base de datos bibliográfica o secciones repetitivas). Esto reduce la posibilidad de error ya que las correcciones solo se realizan en el documento de origen. Los beneficios de la SSP son principalmente para el editor y no para el usuario. El usuario se beneficia de la coherencia que aporta el uso de una única fuente. Esto supone que la persona administradora del contenido (quien por lo general es el editor) tiene la información organizada. Una organización deficiente puede hacer que este tipo de publicación sea menos útil. La publicación desde una sola fuente a veces se usa como sinónimo de publicación multicanal, aunque su sinonimia es un tema de discusión. (es)
- Single-source publishing, also known as single-sourcing publishing, is a content management method which allows the same source content to be used across different forms of media and more than one time. The labor-intensive and expensive work of editing need only be carried out once, on only one document; that source document (the single source of truth) can then be stored in one place and reused. This reduces the potential for error, as corrections are only made one time in the source document. The benefits of single-source publishing primarily relate to the editor rather than the user. The user benefits from the consistency that single-sourcing brings to terminology and information. This assumes the content manager has applied an organized conceptualization to the underlying content (A poor conceptualization can make single-source publishing less useful). Single-source publishing is sometimes used synonymously with multi-channel publishing though whether or not the two terms are synonymous is a matter of discussion. (en)
