- Post ist das dritte Soloalbum der isländischen Sängerin und Songschreiberin Björk, das am 13. Juni 1995 herausgegeben wurde. Es ist das zweite Album, das nach der Trennung Björks von den Sugarcubes erschien. Im Album wird vor allem der typische Stil der Soundtechnik des vorangegangenen Albums Debut (1993) aufgegriffen, das bereits großen Erfolg verzeichnete. In den Liedern des Post-Albums werden, als Variation, auch Elemente der Techno- und Dancemusik verwendet. Als Kontrast zum ansonsten hauptsächlich elektronisch gefärbten Sound des Albums Post wurde eine Coverversion von Blow a Fuse eingespielt, was auf Björks Faible für das alte Hollywood-Liedgenre zurückzuführen ist. Auf Post wurde der Titel in It’s Oh So Quiet verändert. Der Text stammt von Bert Reisfeld, der ihn wiederum aus dem Deutschen von Hans Lang übertrug. Die US-amerikanische Sängerin Betty Hutton coverte den Song in diesem Rahmen vom deutsch-österreichischen Sänger Horst Winter. Post wurde unter Mitarbeit von Nellee Hooper, Tricky, Graham Massey von 808 State und Electronica-Produzent Howie B erstellt. Continuing the style developed on her first album Debut (1993), Bjork conceived Post as a bolder and more extroverted set of songs than its precedessor, featuring an eclectic mixture of electronic and dance styles such as techno, trip hop, IDM, and house, but also ambient, jazz, industrial, and experimental music. Björk produced Post herself with co-producers including Nellee Hooper, 808 State's Graham Massey, and former Massive Attack member Tricky. She wrote most of the songs after moving to London, and intended the album to reflect her new life in the city. The album reached number one in Iceland, number two in the United Kingdom and number 32 in the United States.
