- Der Orca Seamount (alternativ: Viehoff Seamount) ist ein Tiefseeberg (genauer ein Vulkan) in der Bransfieldstraße zwischen dem Archipel der Südlichen Shetlandinseln und der nördlichen Spitze der Antarktischen Halbinsel. Er ragt bis zu etwa 900 m über dem Meeresboden auf und hat einen Basisdurchmesser von etwa 11 km. Benannt ist der Tiefseeberg, vom (ACUF) im Februar 2000 anerkannt, nach dem in der Bransfieldstraße häufig anzutreffenden Schwertwal (Orcinus orca). Alternativ dazu existiert eine ebenfalls vom ACUF seit Juni 1995 anerkannte Benennung nach dem deutschen Fernerkundungstechniker und Ozeanographen Thomas Viehoff (1957–1994), der auf dem Forschungsschiff Polarstern tätig war. Das Gebiet um den Orca Seamount war 2020 Ort eines Erdbebenschwarms von mehr als 85.000 seismisch erfassten Einzelereignissen mit einer Magnitude von Mw 6,0. (de)
- El monte submarino Orca es un volcán submarino cerca de la isla Rey Jorge en la Antártida, en el estrecho de Bransfield. La última actividad volcánica en el Orca ocurrió en el pasado reciente, ya que hay anomalías de temperatura en el agua de mar a su alrededor. El Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería de Chile lo considera un centro volcánico activo. Fue bautizado como Orca por el científico chileno Óscar González-Ferrán en 1987, tras observar que las orcas a menudo circundaban en estas aguas. Fue mapeado y estudiado por el barco RV Polarstern durante un crucero por la Antártida (número ANT-XI/3) en 2005. El nombre variante Viehoff recuerda a Thomas Viehoff, un especialista en teledetección en ciencias marinas. (es)

- Orca Seamount is a seamount (underwater volcano) near King George Island in Antarctica, in the Bransfield Strait. While it is inactive, last volcanic activity at Orca Seamount is judged to have occurred in the recent past as there are temperature anomalies in the seawater around the seamount. Thermophilic and hyperthermophilic microorganisms have been found at the seamount. The crater rim is about 3 km wide and about 500 m above the ocean floor. The seamount was first named by Professor O. González-Ferrán of Chile in 1987, after the orca (killer whale) often sighted in these waters. It was mapped and studied by the ship RV Polarstern during an Antarctic cruise (number ANT-XI/3) in 2005. The variant name of Viehoff Seamount (approved in 6/95 ACUF 263) was named for Dr. Thomas Viehoff, a remote sensing specialist in marine sciences. Name proposed by Dr. G.B. Udintsev, Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry (VIG). (en)
