- International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) je profesní výměnný program financovaný Ministerstva zahraničních věcí Spojených států amerických. Úkolem IVLP je nabídnout současným a nově se formujícím mezinárodním lídrům příležitost zažít pestrost a rozdílnost amerického politického, ekonomického, sociálního a kulturního života prostřednictvím pečlivě navržených výměn, které reflektují profesní zájmy účastníků a veřejné cíle diplomacie vlády Spojených států. Každoročně tato výměna přivádí do Spojených států až na 5000 nových profesních lídrů z celého světa prostřednictvím programu trvajícím až tři týdny. Do programu nominují pouze zaměstnanci amerických ambasád. (cs)
- Das International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) ist ein kulturelles des US-Außenministeriums. Ziel ist, das gegenseitige Verständnis zwischen Bürgern der Vereinigten Staaten und anderen Ländern zu fördern. Das Programm geht zurück auf den , dessen Ziel es ist, durch Bildungs- und Kultur-Austausch „to promote a better understanding of the United States in other countries, and to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries“. Dieses Gesetz brachte das Foreign Leaders Program hervor, welches 1952 ins International Visitor Program (IVP) mündete und 2004 umbenannt wurde zum International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). Während ihres Aufenthalts halten sich die ausländischen Teilnehmenden Washington D.C. und drei wechselnde Städte oder Gemeinden auf, um verschiedene politische, soziale und kulturelle Sphären abzudecken. Dort treten sie mit dem Programm assoziierten Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft ihrer jeweiligen Branche in Kontakt und besuchen öffentliche Einrichtungen. Im Zuge der COVID-19-Pandemie wurde das Programm temporär ausgesetzt. Etliche ehemalige IVLP-Teilnehmer sind später Staats- und Regierungschefs geworden. (de)

The mission of IVLP is to offer current and emerging international leaders the opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of American political, economic, social and cultural life through carefully designed exchanges that reflect participants’ professional interests and the public diplomacy objectives of the United States government. The exchange brings up to 5,000 professional emerging leaders from around the world to the United States each year for programs of up to three weeks. The program is nomination only by staff at U.S. Embassies. (en)
