- Inamgaon, in Maharashtra, is one of the largest Chalcolithic settlements in India. It has been estimated that at one time, about 1,000 people may have lived here. Situated along the right bank of the Ghod River, it is considered to be the 'regional centre' of the Bhima Valley.
