- La Copa Interciutats Dublín i Belfast (Dublin and Belfast Intercity Cup) va ser una competició futbolística que es disputà vuit temporades a Irlanda entre 1941/42 i 1948/49. - The Dublin and Belfast Inter-city Cup was a soccer competition that ran for eight seasons in Ireland between and including 1941/42-1948/49. Each season's competition consisted of six teams from each of the two jurisdictions on the island of Ireland, the Irish Football Association and the Football Association of Ireland. Played in knock out format, the matches were played on a two leg basis. Dalymount Park, Dublin was used as the home venue by all the League of Ireland clubs. For the second round of the competition, the six first round winners were joined by the two best losers. It was an extremely popular competition, adding variety to the restricted war-time football diet and generated much needed and significant revenues to the competing clubs. (en)

Elle s’est déroulée 8 années consécutivement entre 1941 et 1949. 6 équipes de chacune des deux fédérations prenaient part à la compétition. La coupe se déroulait sous la forme d’un tableau d’élimination directe avec des matchs aller-retour. Dalymount Park était le stade de toutes les équipes issues du championnat d'Irlande de football C’était une compétition extrêmement populaire permettant de satisfaire le public et les sportifs en manque de football alors que, à cause de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale le championnat d'Irlande du Nord de football étaient suspendus. Elle permettait dans le même temps aux clubs participants de revoir des revenus complémentaires assez importants. (fr)
