- Bobinet (z angličtiny: „paličkovaná síť“) je druh tylu vyrobeného na bobinetovém stroji. Některé výrobky z bobinetových strojů mohly s mimořádně jemnými přízemi a precizním vypracováním imitovat ručně paličkované krajky tak, že rozdíly uměli rozpoznat jen velmi zkušení odborníci. Ve 20. století se však v krajkářství začaly stále více uplatňovat rašlové pletací stroje, zejména proto, že se na nich dosahovalo několikanásobně vyššího výkonu při podstatně jednodušší obsluze. (cs)
- Bobinet ist eine durchsichtige, netzartige Textilie – ein Geflecht, das aus einer Reihe Kettfäden und 2–4 schräg verlaufenden Schussfäden besteht. Bei der Herstellung wird der Schuss auf einer sehr schmalen Spule (Bobine) zwischen den Kettfäden durchgezogen und umschlingt sie dabei. Die Skizze rechts zeigt die Struktur eines Bobinet-Tülls mit einer Kette (hellgrün) und 2 Schussfäden (blau und rot). Auf diese Weise entstehen wabenförmige quadratische oder rechteckige Öffnungen. Mit einer entsprechenden Vorrichtung lassen sich mit der Bobinettechnik auch umfangreiche und komplizierte Muster herstellen. Zum Verarbeiten werden am häufigsten Garne aus Baumwolle, Seide, Polyamid und Polyester verwendet. (de)
- Bobbinet tulle or genuine tulle is a specific type of tulle which has been made in the United Kingdom since the invention of the bobbinet machine. John Heathcoat coined the term "bobbin net", or bobbinet as it is spelled today, to distinguish this machine-made tulle from the handmade "pillow lace", produced using a lace pillow to create bobbin lace. Machines based on his original designs are still in operation today producing fabrics in Perry Street, Chard, Somerset, UK. When bobbinet is woven with spots, it is called point d'esprit. (en)
