Janez Frančišek Gnidovec, C.M. (29 September 1873 – 3 February 1939), was a Slovenian Roman Catholic bishop who served as the Bishop of Skopje. Gnidovec served as a pastor during World War I as a teacher and was appointed a bishop during a period of tension between Christianity and other faiths. His strong ecumenical communication skills dissipated tension and gained him both praise and recognition. Gnidovec was also a member of the Congregation of the Mission, which he joined in 1919.
