- Þorsteinn Víglundsson (né le 22 novembre 1969) est un homme politique islandais qui a été député du Parti réformiste ( Viðreisn ) à l' Althing . Il a été ministre des affaires sociales et de l'égalité en 2017 dans le Gouvernement Benediktsson. Sous sa direction, un projet de loi (amendements à la loi n ° 10/2008 sur l'égalité des sexes) a été adopté par le Parlement islandais (Althingi) à une large majorité le 1er juin 2017 et est entré en vigueur le 1er janvier 2018. Les entreprises et les institutions employant 25 travailleurs ou plus, sur une base annuelle, sont tenues d'obtenir une certification de l'égalité de rémunération. Le but de cette certification obligatoire est de faire appliquer la législation actuelle interdisant les pratiques discriminatoires fondées sur le sexe et exigeant que les femmes et les hommes travaillant pour le même employeur reçoivent un salaire égal et bénéficient de conditions d'emploi égales pour les mêmes emplois ou des emplois de valeur égale. - Þorsteinn Víglundsson (born 22 November 1969) is an Icelandic politician who served as Member of Parliament for the Reform Party (Viðreisn) in the Althing. He served as Iceland's Minister of Social Affairs and Equality in 2017, and under his leadership, a bill of law (amendments to the Gender Equality Act No. 10/2008) was passed by the Icelandic Parliament (Althingi) with a vast majority on 1 June 2017 and came into force on 1 January 2018. Companies and institutions employing 25 or more workers, on an annual basis, are required to obtain equal pay certification of their equal pay systems and the implementation thereof. The purpose of this obligatory certification is to enforce the current legislation prohibiting discriminatory practices based on gender and requiring women and men working for the same employer to be paid equal wages and enjoy equal terms of employment for the same jobs or jobs of equal value. Prior to entering politics, Þorsteinn served as executive director of , a service organization for Icelandic businesses. (en)
