- Le parti du Yorkshire est un parti politique régionaliste du Yorkshire, un comté historique d'Angleterre. Fondé en 2014, il milite pour la création d'un Parlement du Yorkshire dévolu au sein du Royaume-Uni, avec des pouvoirs en matière d'éducation, d'environnement, de transport et de logement. Il se décrit comme un parti centriste construit sur des principes sociaux-démocrates et estime que "changer la façon dont le système politique britannique fonctionne est la meilleure façon de répondre aux problèmes quotidiens auxquels sont confrontés les habitants du Yorkshire". Le parti compte des conseillers de paroisse, de ville, de district et de comté, a présenté 21 candidats aux élections générales de 2017 et a obtenu 8,6 % des voix lors de l'élection du maire de la Sheffield City Region en 2018]. Le parti a désigné 28 candidats pour l'élection générale de 2019. Lors de l'élection du maire du Yorkshire de l'Ouest de 2021, il a obtenu près de 60 000 voix (p9,7% des voix) au premier tour et est arrivé troisième au classement général, derrière les travaillistes et les conservateurs. Le parti est arrivé troisième derrière les travaillistes et les conservateurs au premier tour de l'élection du maire du Yorkshire du Sud de 2022, avec une part de voix supérieure de 13,4 %, à seulement 3,1 % de battre les conservateurs au second tour. Founded in 2014, it campaigns for the establishment of a devolved Yorkshire Parliament within the UK, with powers over education, environment, transport and housing. It describes itself as a centrist party built on social-democratic principles and believes that "changing the way the UK political system works is the best way to address the everyday issues faced by people living in Yorkshire". The party has parish, town, district, and county councillors, stood 21 candidates at the 2017 general election, and secured 8.6% of the vote in the 2018 Sheffield City Region mayoral election. The party nominated 28 candidates for the 2019 general election. In the 2021 West Yorkshire mayoral election, it received nearly 60,000 votes (nearly 10% of the vote share) in the first round and third overall, behind Labour and the Conservatives. The party came third behind Labour and the Conservatives in the first round of the 2022 South Yorkshire mayoral election, with a higher vote share of 13.4%, only 3.1% away from beating the Conservatives into the second round.
