- William Monson, 1er vicomte Monson (mort vers 1672) est l'un des régicides du roi Charles Ier d'Angleterre . Monson est fait chevalier en 1623 et créé vicomte Monson de Castlemaine (pairie d'Irlande) en 1628. Il est élu député de Reigate en 1640, 1645 et 1648. Il est nommé comme l'un des juges du roi, mais n'assiste qu'à trois séances. Après la Restauration de la monarchie en 1660, il est condamné par le Parlement à la dégradation de ses honneurs et titres et à la prison à vie. Il meurt à la Prison de la Fleet vers 1672 . (fr)
- William Monson, 1st Viscount Monson (died c. 1672) was one of the Regicides of King Charles I of England. Monson was knighted in 1623 and created Viscount Monson of Castlemaine (Irish peerage) in 1628. He was elected M.P. for Reigate in 1640, 1645 and 1648. He was nominated as one of the king's judges, but only attended three sittings. After the Restoration of the monarchy in 1660, he was sentenced by Parliament to degradation from his honours and titles and to be imprisoned for life. He died in the Fleet Prison in around 1672.
