- Waterpistol is the second studio album by the English alternative rock band Shack. The album was recorded in 1991, but its release was delayed due to a studio fire which destroyed the master tapes. During the period between the album's recording and release, the band broke up and frontman Mick Head became addicted to heroin. A back-up of the recordings, lost and recovered by producer Chris Allison, was released on Marina Records in 1995. Ultimately, Waterpistol was well received by critics. The album was reissued in 2007 in expanded form by The Red Flag Recording Company. (en)

Infelizmente, depois de completa a gravação do álbum, o estúdio Star Street ardeu por completo e a maior parte das gravações foram destruídas. O único detentor de uma gravação de áudio era o produtor Chris Allison, mas deixou a sua cópia num carro alugado. O disco só foi encontrado semanas depois, por esta altura já o álbum estava sem uma distribuidora e a banda acabou por se separar, com Mick Head a enfrentar uma grande depressão e abuso de drogas. Só em 1995 é que o álbum foi lançado pela produtora independente Alemã, Marina. O álbum foi alvo de mais um novo lançamento em 2007. (pt)
