- La Resolució 1522 del Consell de Seguretat de les Nacions Unides fou adoptada per unanimitat el 15 de gener de 2004. Després de recordar totes les resolucions anteriors sobre la situació a la República Democràtica del Congo, el Consell va acollir amb satisfacció els esforços per establir la primera brigada integrada i unificada a Kisangani com a pas cap a la formació d'un . El Consell de Seguretat va ser encoratjat per l'avanç del procés de pau congolès al país i va considerar que era essencial per l'èxit del procés de transició una reforma del sector de la seguretat, la reestructuració i la integració de les forces armades, i l'establiment d'una policia nacional a la República Democràtica del Congo. Va reafirmar la responsabilitat del Govern d'Unitat Nacional i Transició i va acollir amb beneplàcit l'establiment d'un alt comandament. La resolució va donar la benvinguda als passos per establir una brigada integrada i unificada a Kisangani com a part d'una formació global d'un exèrcit nacional congolès. Des que el govern era vigent, les demandes de a Kisangani contingudes a la Resolució 1304 (2000) no s'aplicarien a forces reestructurades i integrades. Es va instar el Govern a prendre les mesures apropiades per a la reestructuració i la integració de les forces armades del país i es va demanar a la comunitat internacional que ajudés a aquest respecte. - قرار مجلس الأمن الدولي رقم 1522، المتخذ بالإجماع في 15 كانون الثاني / يناير 2004، بعد الإشارة إلى جميع القرارات السابقة بشأن الحالة في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، رحب المجلس بالجهود المبذولة لإنشاء أول لواء متكامل وموحد في كيسنغاني كخطوة نحو تشكيل الجيش الوطني. وكان أول قرار لمجلس الأمن يتخذ في عام 2004. وقد شجع مجلس الأمن التقدم المحرز في عملية السلام في الكونغو، واعتبر أن إصلاح قطاع الأمن، وإعادة هيكلة القوات المسلحة وإدماجها، وإنشاء شرطة وطنية في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية أمر أساسي لتحقيق النجاح من عملية الانتقال. وأعاد تأكيد مسؤولية حكومة الوحدة الوطنية والانتقال ورحب بإنشاء قيادة عليا. ورحب القرار بالخطوات الرامية إلى إنشاء لواء متكامل وموحد في كيسنغاني كجزء من التشكيل الشامل للجيش الوطني الكونغولي. منذ أن كانت الحكومة قائمة، فإن مطالب نزع السلاح في كيسنغاني الواردة في القرار 1304 (2000) لن تنطبق على القوات المعاد هيكلتها والمتكاملة. وحثت الحكومة على اتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة لإعادة هيكلة ودمج القوات المسلحة في البلاد وطُلب من المجتمع الدولي المساعدة في هذا الصدد. Usai mengulang seluruh resolusi seputar situasi di Republik Demokratik Kongo, DKPBB mempersilahkan upaya untuk membentuk brigade bersatu dan terintegrasi pertama di Kisangani sebagai langkah menuju pembentukan . Resolusi tersebut adalah resolusi DKPBB pertama yang diadopsi pada 2004. (in)
- United Nations Security Council resolution 1522, adopted unanimously on 15 January 2004, after recalling all previous resolutions on the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the council welcomed efforts to establish the first integrated and unified brigade in Kisangani as a step towards forming a national army. It was the first Security Council resolution adopted in 2004. The security council was encouraged by progress in the Congolese peace process in the country and considered a reform of the security sector, the restructuring and integration of armed forces, and establishment of a national police in the Democratic Republic of the Congo was essential to the success of the transition process. It reaffirmed the responsibility of the Government of National Unity and Transition and welcomed the establishment of a High Command. The resolution welcomed steps to establish an integrated and unified brigade in Kisangani as part of an overall formation of a Congolese national army. Since the government was in place, demands for demilitarisation in Kisangani contained in Resolution 1304 (2000) would not apply to restructured and integrated forces. The government was urged to take appropriate measures for the restructuring and integration of the country's armed forces and the international community was asked to assist in that regard. (en)
