- مكتب خدمات الرقابة الداخلية التابع للأمم المتحدة (بالإنجليزية: United Nations Office of Internal Oversight Services) وتعرف اختصاراً (بالإنجليزية: OIOS) هو مكتب مستقل في الأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة تتمثل ولايته في «مساعدة الأمين العام في الوفاء بمسؤولياته في مجال الرقابة الداخلية فيما يخص موارد المنظمة وموظفيها». وعلى وجه التحديد المراجعة الداخلية والتحقيق والرصد والتقييم والتفتيش والإبلاغ وخدمات الدعم للأمانة العامة للأمم المتحدة. تعد وظيفة المكتب مماثلة للعديد من منظمات التدقيق الحكومية الوطنية، مثل مكتب مساءلة الحكومة في الولايات المتحدة. يقدم المكتب تقاريره إلى الجمعية العامة والأمين العام. تأسس المكتب عام 1994 بناء على إصرار الولايات المتحدة على أن تتخذ الأمم المتحدة خطوات للحد من التبذير والفساد، على الرغم من وجود بعض الشكوك حول فعاليته. في 17 أكتوبر 2019 وخلفًا للفليبينية هايدي مندوزا، تعد السنغالية فاتوماتا ندياي وكيلة الأمين العام والرئيسة الحالية للمكتب ، لمدة خمس سنوات تبدأ من تاريخ تعيينها. كان أول رئيس في الوظيفة هو وكيل الأمين العام كارل تيودور باشك. - The United Nations Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) is an independent office in the United Nations Secretariat whose mandate is to "assist the Secretary-General in fulfilling his internal oversight responsibilities in respect of the resources and staff of the Organization." Specifically, activities include internal audit, investigation, monitoring, evaluation, inspection, reporting and support services to the United Nations Secretariat. Its intended and mandated function is similar to many national government audit organisations, like the Government Accountability Office in the United States. It reports not only to the General Assembly, but also to the Secretary-General. The current head of the OIOS, Under-Secretary-General Fatoumata Ndiaye of Senegal, was appointed as Under-Secretary-General for Internal Oversight Services for a five-year term starting on 17 October 2019, succeeding Heidi Mendoza of the Philippines. The office was established in 1994 at the insistence of the United States that the UN take steps to curb waste and corruption, although there are some doubts concerning its effectiveness. Its first head was Under-Secretary-General Karl Theodor Paschke. (en)

- O Escritório de Serviços de Supervisão Interna ou ESSI ( United Nations Office of Internal Oversight Services em inglês) é um orgão da ONU cujo objetivo principal é realizar auditoria, investigação, inspeção, monitoramento de programas, serviços de avaliação e consultoria para o Secretariado das Nações Unidas e o resto da Estrutura da ONU em todo o mundo. Sua função é semelhante a de muitas organizações nacionais de auditoria do governo, como a Controladoria-Geral da União no Brasil. E como a maioria de suas congêneres nacionais, a ESSI apresenta seus relatórios à Assembleia Geral em vez de para o escritório do Secretário-Geral. A atual diretora da ESSI, Subsecretária-Geral da ONU, Carman Lapointe-Young do Canadá, foi nomeada como Subsecretária-Geral para Serviços de Supervisão Interna por um mandato de cinco anos com início em 14 de setembro de 2010, sucedendo da Suécia.
