- تندب التلافيف هو تشخيص مستخدم في وصف نوع محدد من تندب القشرة المخية في مناطق التلم العميقة ما ينتج عنه تشوه التلفيف. تُعد التلافيف «المشابهة للفطر» من العلامات المميزة في تندب التلافيف، إذ يؤدي التندب إلى انكماش مناطق التلم العميقة وضموها مع بقاء التلافيف السطحية طبيعية. غالبًا ما تنتج الحالة عن إصابة دماغية ناقصة التأكسج – إقفارية خلال الفترة المحيطة بالولادة. تتراوح تأثيرات تندب التلافيف في شدتها، إلا أنها ترتبط بشكل شائع مع الشلل الدماغي، والتخلف العقلي والصرع. تعرف إن سي بريسلر تندب التلافيف لأول مرة في عام 1899 إذ وصف هذه المورفولوجيا غير الطبيعية في الدماغ بـ «تلفيف الفطر». على الرغم من التعرف على تندب التلافيف لأول مرة في عام 1899، توجد أيضًا بعض المعلومات المحدودة المعروفة أو المبلغ عنها حول الحالة. - Mit Ulegyrie (von altgriechisch Οὐλή oule, deutsch ‚vernarbte Wunde, Narbe‘ und altgriechisch γύρος gyros, latinisiert gyrus, deutsch ‚Drehung, Biegung, hier: Windung‘) wird ein frühkindlicher Hirnschaden bezeichnet, dessen Ursache und Form auf die besondere Blutversorgung der Gehirnoberfläche in der frühkindlichen Hirnentwicklung zurückzuführen ist. Die Hirnwindungen (gyri) werden besser mit Blut versorgt als die in den Tiefen der Hirnfurchen (sulci) gelegenen Anteile der Gehirnoberfläche, so dass eine Hypoxie des frühkindlichen Gehirns zu einem Untergang des Gewebes in der Tiefe der Hirnfurchen und somit kleinen, atrophischen Hirnwindungen und breiten Hirnfurchen führt. Die Ursache liegt in einer Ischämie, Hirnblutung oder Infektion in utero. Als Folge können epileptische Anfälle auftreten, eine Symptomatik, die mit der operativen Entfernung des zerebralen Narbengewebes – einer sog. – in Einzelfällen beseitigt werden kann. Der Nachweis dieser Läsionen geschieht am besten mittels einer Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT). Abzugrenzen sind andere Gyrierungs- und Migrationsstörungen wie Fokale kortikale Dysplasie oder Polymikrogyrie. (de)
- Ulegyria is a diagnosis used to describe a specific type of cortical scarring in the deep regions of the sulcus that leads to distortion of the gyri. Ulegyria is identified by its characteristic "mushroom-shaped" gyri, in which scarring causes shrinkage and atrophy in the deep sulcal regions while the surface gyri are spared. This condition is most often caused by hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in the perinatal period. The effects of ulegyria can range in severity, although it is most commonly associated with cerebral palsy, mental retardation and epilepsy. N.C. Bresler was the first to view ulegyria in 1899 and described this abnormal morphology in the brain as “mushroom-gyri." Although ulegyria was first identified in 1899, there is still limited information known or reported about the condition. (en)
