- La Torre U2 (U2 Tower en inglés) fue un rascacielos en construcción en Dublín. Localizado en el sur de Dublin Docklands, en la esquina de Sir John Rogerson's Quay y Great Britain Quay, junto al Río Liffey, el río Dodder, y el Grand Canal. El diseño anunciado el 12 de octubre 2007 es obra de Foster and Partners. Su altura estaba proyectada a 120 metros, iba a ser el edificio más alto de la isla de Eire. Iba a ser un edificio de apartamentos, con un estudio de grabación propiedad del grupo de rock U2 en la parte superior del edificio. La construcción se inició en 2008 y estaba prevista su finalización en el año 2011, con un costo de 200 millones de €, pero en octubre de 2008 el proyecto fue pospuesto indefinidamente debido a la crisis económica. Le site choisi était situé dans les « campshires » des (SODO), à l'angle des Sir John Rogerson Quay et Britain Quay, près de la confluence de la rivière Liffey, de la rivière Dodder et du Grand Canal. Le design annoncé le 12 octobre 2007 a été réalisé par Foster + Partners. Sa hauteur avait été prévue à 120 mètres, « puis bien au-delà de 120 mètres », et même à 180 mètres, ce qui en aurait fait le plus haut bâtiment de l'île d'Irlande. Le bâtiment devait être un immeuble d'appartements, avec un studio d'enregistrement appartenant au groupe de rock U2 dans un pod au sommet. La construction devait commencer en 2008 et se terminer en 2011, pour un coût de 200 millions d'euros. En octobre 2008, le projet a été annulé en raison du ralentissement économique de l'époque. Des propositions visant à relancer le plan ont eu lieu en juillet 2013. Cependant, elles n'ont pas abouti et un autre bâtiment de 79 mètres et de 22 étages, le « Capital Dock », a depuis été construit sur le site. (fr)

Reports suggested a building height of 120 metres, "well over 120 metres", and 180 metres, any of which would have made it the tallest building on the island of Ireland. The building was planned to be an apartment building, with a recording studio owned by the rock group U2 in a "pod" at the top. Construction was to begin in 2008 and end in 2011, at a cost of €200m. In October 2008, the project was cancelled because of the economic downturn at the time. Proposals to revive the plan were reported in July 2013.
