Tony Anholt (January 19, 1941 – July 26, 2002) was a British actor best known for his roles as Security Chief Tony Verdeschi in the second season of Gerry Anderson's television series ' (1985-1990).

  • Tony Anholt (January 19, 1941 – July 26, 2002) was a British actor best known for his roles as Security Chief Tony Verdeschi in the second season of Gerry Anderson's television series ' (1985-1990). Anholt was originally a continuity announcer for the BBC World Service. He also made a guest appearance in the Only Fools and Horses episode To Hull and Back as Boycie's business partner Abdul. He was born in Singapore. His family moved to Australia before the end of World War II, then to South Africa for a brief time, and eventually settled in the United Kingdom. He married and divorced twice. The first, in 1964, to Sheila Willet, with whom he had a son, actor Christien Anholt. They divorced in 1986. His second marriage was in 1990, to actress Tracey Childs, who he co-starred with in Howards' Way. They divorced in 1998. Anholt's last filmed acting work was for Canadian television productions; he appeared in small roles in several episodes of Lexx and also guest starred on his son, Christien's series Relic Hunter. Anholt died in London of a brain tumor in July 2002 aged 61. (en)
