- Die Kabale der Scheinheiligen, auch Molière (russisch Кабала святош Kabala swjatosch), ist ein Theaterstück in vier Akten des sowjetischen Schriftstellers Michail Bulgakow, dessen Niederschrift 1930 abgeschlossen wurde. Vor seiner Premiere am 16. Februar 1936 am Moskauer Künstlertheater wurde das Stück dort jahrelang einstudiert und immer wieder umgeschrieben. Stalin ließ die Kabale nach sieben Aufführungen am 9. März 1936 verbieten. Die „Begründung“ hatte dem Diktator Platon Kerschenzew – einer seiner „Kulturpolitiker“ – am 29. Februar geliefert: Bulgakow führe dem Zuschauer eine Parallele der Despotie Ludwig XIV. mit der Diktatur des Proletariats vor Augen. 1966–2015 erlebte das Stück auf sowjetischen/russischen Bühnen immer neue Inszenierungen. - La Cabale des hypocrites (Кабала святош (Kabala svyatosh)) est une pièce de théâtre en quatre actes écrite par Mikhaïl Boulgakov, aussi connue sous le titre Molière. Écrite en 1929 pour le Théâtre d'art de Moscou, la pièce a été lue par Boulgakov pour Stanislavski et sa troupe lors d'une rencontre du 19 janvier 1930. Acceptée par ledit théâtre, la pièce fut cependant rapidement interdite par le Comité d'État du répertoire (Главрепертком Glavrepertkom). Ce n'est qu'un an et demi plus tard, par influence personnelle de Maxime Gorki, que l'interdiction fut levée. En mars 1932, les répétitions commencèrent sous la direction de Nikolai Gorchakov. Elles durèrent quatre ans et furent une cause de friction entre Boulgakov et Stanislavski qui décida en 1935 de plus rien avoir à faire avec cette pièce et demanda à Vladimir Nemirovitch-Dantchenko de prendre la main à ce propos. La première eu lieu le 16 février 1936 et remporta un large succès. Mais le 9 mars, un article de la Pravda, « Séduisant en surface, trompeur en profondeur » fut à l'origine d'une nouvelle interdiction de la pièce après seulement sept représentations. En octobre de cette année, Boulgakov quitta le Théâtre d'art de Moscou, le nommant dans son diaire : « le tombeau de mes pièces », et dans une lettre à un ami, Vikenti Veressaïev : « l'endroit où Molière fut détruit ». La Cabale des Hypocrites a été publiée pour la première fois en 1962 par les éditeurs Iskusstvo. - The Cabal of Hypocrites (Russian: Кабала святош, romanized: Kabala svyatosh) is a four-act play by Mikhail Bulgakov also known as Molière. Written in 1929 for the Moscow Art Theatre, it was read by Bulgakov for Stanislavski and his team at the 19 January 1930 meeting. The play, accepted by the theatre for production, was promptly banned by the state Repertoire Committee (Glavrepertkom). A year and a half later, after personal interference by Maxim Gorky, the ban was lifted. In March 1932 the rehearsals started, under the guidance of the director Nikolai Gorchakov. They lasted for four years and became the major cause for the rift between Bulgakov and Stanislavski who in 1935 decided he did not want to do anything with the play and asked Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko to deal with it from then on. The play premiered on 16 February 1936 and enjoyed huge success. But on 9 March the article "Glamorous on the Surface, False Beneath" appeared in Pravda and Molière was banned, after just seven sold out performances. In October that year Bulgakov left the Moscow Art Theatre calling it in his diary "the graveyard of my plays" and referring to it as "the theatre where Molière had been destroyed" in a letter to his friend Vikenty Veresayev. The Cabal of Hypocrites was published for the first time in 1962 by the Iskusstvo Publishers. It enjoyed great revival in the Soviet Theatre during the 1960s and is considered now part of the legacy of classic Russian drama. (en)
