- الأمير طلال العبد الله الرشيد الشمري (اسمه الكامل: طلال العبد الله العلي الرشيد) ، ثاني حكام إمارة جبل شمر في حائل. وهو ابن عبد الله العلي الرشيد مؤسس الأمارة. (فترة حكمه: 1847 - 1867 م). و من أمراء آل الرشيد المشهورين في بلاد نجد. خلف أباه في إمارة جبل شمر سنة 1263 هـ واستولى على مدن الجوف، وتيماء، وخيبر، وجانب من القصيم. وأحسن الإدارة وأمن الطرق التجارية، وكف غارات البدو. وكان عاقلا حكيما، أقبل الناس في أيامه على الصناعة وإصلاح ما خربته الحروب. ومات متأثرا من جرح أصابه، وقيل مات منتحرا (ar)

- Talal bin Abdullah Al Rashid (1823–11 March 1868) was the second ruler of the Emirate of Jabal Shammar. He was a skilfull ruler, but he committed suicide. Unlike the founding ruler, Abdullah, who was titled as sheikh, the rulers of Jabal Shammar began to be referred to as emirs with the reign of Talal. In addition, Talal managed to create a state-like administration in the Emirate which had been based on the tribal alliance during the reign of Abdullah. (en)
