Since its formation in 1959, the Swiss Research Centre for Rationalization in Building and Civil Engineering or CRB (the abbreviation stems from the original French name "Centre Suisse d’études pour la Rationalisation du Bâtiment", now "Centre suisse d'études pour la rationalisation de la construction") has worked to improve communication within the Swiss construction sector.
