- سورجيسفير (بالإنجليزية: Surgisphere) هي شركة أمريكية تعمل على تحليل البيانات الصحية المجهولة المصدر من المرضى في العديد من المستشفيات؛ تأسست الشركة في عام 2008 في شيكاغو ومقرها في إلينوي من قبل الجراح . في عام 2020، خضعت الشركة للتدقيق بعد أن قدمت مجموعة بيانات ضخمة عن مرضى فيروس كورونا والتي تبين لاحقًا أنها غير موثوقة علميا. تسببت البيانات في فضيحة مدوية لدى الأقطاب العلمية بعد أن نشرت كدراسات علمية موثوقة في مجلتين مرموقتين في مايو 2020 هما ذا لانسيت ونيو إنغلاند جورنال أوف ميديسين، أشارت الدراسات في مضمونها إلى أن المرضى الذين استخدموا عقار هيدروكسي كلوروكوين لديهم «خطر أعلى بكثير للوفاة». على ضوء هذه الدراسات، قررت منظمة الصحة العالمية وقف التجارب العالمية لعقار هيدروكسي كلوروكوين لعلاج فيروس كورونا. لكن بعد سحب الدراسات، استأنفت منظمة الصحة العالمية تجاربها في هذا الصدد. Elle est l'objet d'une controverse majeure en mai/juin 2020, en raison de la publication d'études sur le COVID-19 qui utilisaient des données fournies par Surgisphere, publiées puis rapidement rétractées (notamment par The Lancet et The New England Journal of Medicine) après avoir servi de fondement à des décisions de politique sanitaire dans plusieurs pays. Originally a textbook marketing company, it came under scrutiny in May 2020 after it provided large datasets of COVID-19 patients that were subsequently found to be unreliable. The questionable data were used in studies published in The Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine in May 2020, suggesting that COVID-19 patients on hydroxychloroquine had a "significantly higher risk of death". In light of these studies, the World Health Organization decided to temporarily halt global trials of the drug hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19. After the studies were retracted, the WHO trials were resumed and then discontinued shortly after. (en)
