- Das Automobilwerk Poissy ist eine Fabrik, in der seit 1940 Autos gebaut werden. Es liegt in der Stadt Poissy im französischen Département Yvelines direkt an der Seine. Im Laufe der Jahre hatte es verschiedene Eigentümer; heute gehört es zum PSA-Konzern (Peugeot Citroën), der dort pro Jahr ca. 180.000 Autos der Typen Peugeot 207, und Citroën DS3 baut. 1937 kündigte die US-amerikanische Ford-Zentrale an, in Poissy eine Autofabrik zu bauen und das Frankreichgeschäft von dort aus zu steuern. Zuvor hatte Ford in Frankreich keine eigenen Produktionskapazitäten und kooperierte mit dem Straßburger Hersteller Mathis. Während des Westfeldzugs wurde Poissy am 14. Juni 1940 von Truppen der deutschen Wehrmacht besetzt. In der folgenden Zeit bestimmten die deutschen Ford-Werke in Köln die Produktion in Frankreich. Im Laufe des Krieges wurde das Werk mehrmals bombardiert, konnte aber bis auf Unterbrechungen von wenigen Wochen durchgehend produzieren. Kurz nach Ende der Schlacht um Paris wurde das Werk am 26. August 1944 von der US-Armee besetzt. , der von 1930 bis 1949 das Frankreichgeschäft von Ford verantwortete, wurde als Kollaborateur in Drancy interniert, aber bereits nach kurzer Zeit wieder freigelassen, um seine Arbeit fortsetzen zu können. Ab 1949 wurde in Poissy der Ford Vedette produziert. Im Jahr 1954 wurde Ford Frankreich von Simca übernommen. Der neue Eigentümer investierte in das Werk und machte es bis 1958 zum damals modernsten Werk Europas. 1958 übernahm Simca außerdem den Autohersteller Talbot. Der Ford Vedette lief unter dem neuen Namen Simca Vedette noch bis 1961 in Poissy vom Band. Im gleichen Jahr erfolgte die Markteinführung des Simca 1000, der bis 1978 produziert werden sollte. In den 1960er Jahren übernahm Chrysler zunehmend Anteile an Simca und firmierte Simca 1970 in Chrysler France um. Am 10. August 1978 verkaufte Chrysler sein Europageschäft an den Peugeot-Konzern, der damit auch die Kontrolle über das Werk Poissy übernahm. Von 1979 bis 1996 führte Peugeot das Werk unter dem Markennamen Talbot und baute dort unter anderem bis 1985 den Talbot Horizon, außerdem die Peugeot-Typen 104, 205 und den Peugeot 309 ab dem Jahr 1985. Von 1992 bis 2002 produzierte man in Poissy den Peugeot 306. Seit 2008 wird dort der Citroën DS3 und der Citroën C3 gebaut. Anfang 2013 wurde das Cabrio des Citroën DS3 zusätzlich in die Fertigungspalette aufgenommen. Das Automobilwerk Poissy beschäftigte etwa 3800 Mitarbeiter. Werksleiter ist Frédéric Przybylski. 2003 errichtete der Peugeot-Konzern in unmittelbarer Nähe des Werkes ein Dienstleistungszentrum, das zusätzlich etwa 4500 Arbeitsplätze bietet. (de)
- Le site Stellantis de Poissy dispose d'une usine de production automobile, une usine de production digitale et d'un centre d'expertise, situés en bordure de Seine et desservies par le chemin de fer ainsi que les autoroutes Paris-Normandie (A13/A14). C'est avec le centre d'essais R&D de Carrières-sous-Poissy et celui du style des véhicules (ADN) à Vélizy, l'une des trois implantations du groupe Stellantis dans les Yvelines, et avec l'usine Renault de Flins, l'une des deux usines automobiles du Grand Paris Seine & Oise. L'usine de production automobile a une histoire qui remonte à 1937, année où fut lancé le chantier de construction de la première usine pour le compte de Ford. En 1954, elle devient la propriété de Simca (Fiat), puis de Chrysler en 1970 et de Peugeot en 1978. La fusion des groupes Fiat Chrysler et de Peugeot SA donne naissance au groupe Stellantis en 2021. L'usine de production digitale, créée en 2018 afin de répondre aux enjeux numériques, s'installe au cœur de l'usine industriel. La "Digital Factory" livre tous les produits digitaux ayant une interaction directe avec les clients. (fr)
- The Stellantis Poissy plant is a French car plant belonging to Stellantis located in Poissy, Yvelines. It is dedicated to the manufacturer's Platform 1 cars, which are cars in the subcompact class, with an annual output of approximately 200,000 cars. In 2010 the plant produced the Peugeot 207, the Peugeot 207 SW and the Citroën DS3. Together with the PSA Research Centres at Carrières-sous-Poissy and at Vélizy, it is one of three major establishments that PSA runs in the department. The Poissy plant was commissioned by Ford France in 1937 and opened in 1940 a few weeks before the German invasion. When, in 1954, Ford sold their business to Simca, the Poissy plant was naturally included in the deal, and less than ten years later Simca closed their existing plant at Nanterre, leaving Poissy as their only significant auto-production facility. Ownership passed again in 1963, this time to Chrysler who in that year acquired a controlling interest in Simca. Then in 1978 Peugeot acquired Chrysler's European business. Former Simca models were rebadged as Talbots and continued to be produced at the Poissy plant during the early 1980s. However, the mid-range hatchback that had been designed to sustain the Talbot brand was rebadged ahead of its 1985 launch as the Peugeot 309. That is the name under which it was sold, and since that time the plant has concentrated on the production of small Citroën and Peugeot badged models.
