- الكسر الحلزوني (الكسر الالتوائي) هو كسر بالعظم يحدث عندما يقوم عزم الدوران (قوة دورانية) باحداث قوة على طول المحور الافقي للعظم غالبا يحدث الكسر الدوراني عندما يقوم الجسم بالحركة بينما يكون هناك طرف مثبت بسطح صلب وعلى سبيل المثال كسر عظمة القصبة عندما يقوم الأطفال بالوقوع على رجل ممدودة عند القفز، هذه الواقعة تسمى (كسر الأطفال الصغار). يمكن ملاحظة الكسر الحلزوني على انها شيء غير مألوف لدى الأطفال صغيري السن بسبب ان حدوث مثل هذا الكسر يتطلب عزم دوران قوي للطرف. الإيذاء الجسدي للاطفال وهشاشة العظام يمكن ان تكون تشخيصا تفريقيا عندما يتم التعرف على الكسر الحلزوني (ar)
- En medicina y traumatología, se designa con el nombre de fractura espiroidea a aquella fractura ósea en la cual la línea de fractura sigue una dirección espiral en relación con el eje principal o longitudinal del hueso. Se llama en ocasiones fractura por torsión en base al mecanismo de producción. Afecta fundamentalmente a los huesos largos como el húmero y la tibia. (es)

Spiral fractures often occur when the body is in motion while one extremity is planted. Spiral fractures are also recognized as being suspicious in very young children since to obtain a fracture of this sort requires forceful twisting or jerking of the limbs.
