- Limburg meridional (en neerlandès: Zuid-Limburg, en limburguès: Zui-Limburg o Zuud-Limburg) és una regió estadística (COROP) així com un (subregió) situada a la província de Limburg (Països Baixos). Pel terme holandès landstreek, literalment "àrea/regió" s'entén que la zona no és una regió administrativa, sinó una àrea que mostra la cohesió pel que fa a la cultura i el paisatge. Pel que fa al Limburg meridional es caracteritza pel seu paisatge accidentat, especialment al Heuvelland regió, congosts, l'abundància de castells i el limburguès hi és parlat per una part significativa de la població juntament amb el neerlandès. La regió també conté el punt més alt sobre el nivell del mar als Països Baixos continentals, el Vaalserberg (322,5 m). El punt més alt del regne dels Països Baixos és el mont (877 m) a l'illa de Saba. Endemés, la regió del Limburg meridional s'estén una mica més al nord de Roermond i forma part constitutiva de l'Euroregió Mosa-Rin (ca)

- South Limburg (Dutch: Zuid-Limburg, Limburgish: Zuud-Limburg) is both a COROP (statistical) region as well as a landstreek (area) of the Netherlands located in the province of Limburg. The Dutch term landstreek, literally translated "land area/region", means that the area is not an administrative region but an area that displays cohesion with regard to culture and landscape. With regards to South Limburg this deals with its hilly landscape, especially in the region, sunken lanes, an abundance of castles, and the regional language Limburgish spoken by a significant part of the population alongside Dutch. The region also contains the highest point above sea level in mainland Netherlands, the Vaalserberg being 322.5 metres (1,058 ft) above sea level (the highest point of the entire country is in the Caribbean Netherlands' island of Saba, namely Mount Scenery being 887 metres (2,910 ft) above sea level). The region South Limburg in addition, although extended a little further north to Roermond, forms a constituent part of the Euroregion Meuse-Rhine. (en)

- Zuid-Limburg is een streek in het zuiden van de Nederlandse provincie Limburg. Zij heeft een oppervlakte van 660 km² en telt circa 600.000 inwoners. Zuid-Limburg wordt gekenmerkt door een gevarieerd reliëf en fraaie natuurgebieden te midden van sterk verstedelijkte gebieden. De belangrijkste stedelijke centra zijn Maastricht, Heerlen en Sittard. Maastricht, een van de oudste steden van Nederland en hoofdstad van de provincie, heeft een grensoverschrijdende centrumfunctie en een sterke toeristische aantrekkingskracht. Secundaire centra zijn Geleen en Kerkrade in respectievelijk de Westelijke en Oostelijke Mijnstreek. In het centrum van Zuid-Limburg geniet het toeristische Valkenburg grote bekendheid. Ook plaatsen als Vaals en Landgraaf zijn toeristische trekpleisters, alsmede het Heuvelland in zijn geheel. Het gebied vormt tevens de Veiligheidsregio Zuid-Limburg (een samenwerkingsverband van gemeenten, brandweer en medische hulpverlening).Ten behoeve van de statistiek in Nederland en Europa is Zuid-Limburg ook ingedeeld als COROP-gebied (nummer 39), wat gelijk is aan het Europeese NUTS 3-gebied.
