- Ein Somatostatinom ist ein bösartiger, das Hormon Somatostatin produzierender Tumor der endokrinen Bauchspeicheldrüse (Pankreas) oder des Zwölffingerdarms (Duodenum). Das Somatostatinom gehört zu den Pankreastumoren mit endokrinem Aufbau (Inselzellturmoren), die wiederum zu den gastro-entero-pankreatischen neuroendokrinen Tumoren gerechnet werden. (de)
- El somatostinoma es un tipo particular de tumor maligno o cáncer muy poco frecuente, que se debe a la proliferación de células delta, las cuales producen somatostatina. Por ello en estos tumores existe una alta concentración de somatostatina en sangre. (es)
