- Sober est une famille de vers informatiques qui a été découverte le 24 octobre 2003. Comme beaucoup de vers, Sober s'envoie lui-même comme une pièce jointe à un courrier électronique. Les vers Sober doivent être décompressés et exécutés par un utilisateur. Lors de son exécution, Sober se copie lui-même dans un des nombreux fichiers systèmes de Windows. Puis il ajoute les clés appropriés dans la base de registre. Sober est écrit en Visual Basic et ne s'exécute donc que sur une plate-forme Windows (de Windows 95 à Windows 2003). (fr)
- The Sober worm is a family of computer worms that was discovered on October 24, 2003. Like many worms, Sober sends itself as an e-mail attachment, fake webpages, fake pop-up ads, and fake advertisements. The Sober worms must be unpacked and run by the user. Upon execution, Sober copies itself to one of several files in the Windows directory, depending on the variant. It then adds appropriate keys to the Windows registry, along with a few empty files in the Windows directory. These empty files are used to deactivate previous Sober variants. Sober is written in Visual Basic and only runs on the Microsoft Windows platform. (en)

Sober invia sé stesso come allegato ad una e-mail (usando il proprio motore SMTP); una volta eseguito, si copia in varie cartelle, creando anche delle chiavi nel registro di sistema in modo da avviarsi all'avvio del sistema. Sober è scritto in Visual Basic e colpisce solo i sistemi Windows.
