- Die Belagerung von Kaiserswerth war Teil der Reichsexekution des Heiligen Römischen Reiches gegen den mit Frankreich verbündeten Kurfürsten Joseph Clemens von Kurköln zu Beginn des Spanischen Erbfolgekrieges. Sie war eine der ersten größeren Kriegshandlungen auf dem nördlichen Kriegsschauplatz und dauerte vom 18. April bis zum 15. Juni 1702. Es standen sich die Alliierten aus republikanischen Niederländern und verschiedenen Reichsterritorien auf der einen Seite und die französischen Garnisonstruppen, von der anderen Rheinseite durch Marschall Camille d’Hostun de la Baume, duc de Tallard unterstützt, gegenüber. Die Belagerung endete mit der völligen Zerstörung und Übergabe von Stadt und Festung. (de)

Las tropas prusianas y neerlandesas que sumaban 38 000 hombres y 215 piezas de artillería y morteros, bajo el mando del Mariscal de Campo Imperial Valeriano de Nassau-Usingen, Príncipe de Nassau-Usingen, asediaron y capturaron la pequeña fortaleza francesa en el Bajo Rin, que los franceses habían ocupado sin resistencia el año anterior. Prussian and Dutch troops numbering 38,000 men and 215 artillery pieces and mortars under the command of Imperial Field Marshal Walrad, Prince of Nassau-Usingen, besieged and captured the small French fortress on the Lower Rhine, which the French had occupied without resistance the previous year. W walkach o miasto (dziś jedna z południowych dzielnic Düsseldorfu) i twierdzę Kaiserpfalz uczestniczyły wojska koalicji antyfrancuskiej oraz siły francuskie pod naczelnym dowództwem marszałka Kamila Tallarda.
