- شين شالوم (هو الاسم الأدبي لشالوم يوسف شابيرا) (19 ديسمبر 1904 - 2 مارس 1990) شاعر ومؤلف ومترجم إسرائيلي. يشتهر شعره بالعناصر المقتبسة من رمزية الكابالا والمذهب الحسيدي. في عام 1973، حصل شالوم على جائزة إسرائيل في الشعر. واشتهر بترجمته جميع سوناتات شكسبير إلى العبرية، وهو إنجاز حصل من أجله على جائزة تشيرنيخوفسكي (وهي جائزة في الترجمة). كما حصل على جائزة بياليك عام 1941 وجائزة برينر عام 1949. شقيقه يتسحاق شابيرا كان مدير المدرسة مدرسة ريئالي العبرية من 1955 إلى 1983. His poetry is known for elements derived form Hasidic and Kabbalah symbolism. In 1973, Shalom was awarded the Israel Prize for poetry. He is also known for having translated all of Shakespeare's sonnets into Hebrew, a feat for which he was awarded the Tchernichovsky Prize. He was also the recipient of the Bialik Prize in 1941 and the Brenner Prize in 1949. Shalom's brother was was the headmaster of the Hebrew Reali School from 1955 to 1983. (en)
