- The Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) is the national trade union centre in Scotland. With 40 affiliated unions as of 2020, the STUC represents over 540,000 trade unionists. The STUC is a separate organisation from the English and Welsh Trades Union Congress (TUC), having been established in 1897 as a result of a political dispute with the TUC regarding political representation for the Labour movement. The current General Secretary of the Scottish Trades Union Congress is Rozanne Foyer. (en)

Con 37 sindacati e 22 camere sindacali locali affiliati al 2010 lo STUC rappresenta circa 630.000 sindacalisti. Lo STUC non è un organismo regionale o una sezione locale del Trades Union Congress (TUC) (che è attivo nel resto della Gran Bretagna), ma è un organo distinto e completamente autonomo dal TUC .Fu istituito nel 1897 a Glasgow a seguito delle divergenze politiche proprio con il TUC riguardo alla rappresentanza politica nel movimento dei lavoratori che confluirà nel partito laburista.
