- Santa Maria Assunta ist ein 1661 bis 1665 von Gian Lorenzo Bernini entworfener Kirchenbau in Ariccia bei Rom. Die Kirche wurde von Papst Alexander VII. gegenüber seinem Familienpalast, dem Palazzo Chigi, gestiftet und bildet mit diesem ein städtebauliches Ensemble. Die Kirche stellt einen überkuppelten Zentralbau mit dreiachsigem Portikus in einfachen Bauformen dar. Die beiden flankierenden dreiteiligen Pfeilerkolonaden wurden 1771 von Sigismondo Chigi (1736–1793) hinzugefügt. Das Innere des Rundbaus ist durch klassische Arkaden zwischen korinthischen Pilastern gegliedert und mit einer Kuppel aus sechsteiligen Waben und unterlegten Rippen dekoriert. Unmittelbares Vorbild der Kirche war das antike Pantheon in Rom. Die Hauptaltarnische enthält ein Fresko der Himmelfahrt Mariae, die sechs Nebenaltäre zeigen Darstellungen des Hl. Antonius Abbas von Giacinto Gimignani, der Heiligen Familie von , des Hl. Thomas von Villanova von , des Hl. Franciscus von Sales von Emilio Taruffi, des Hl. Augustinus von Bernardino Mei und des Hl. Rochus von . Die Ausgestaltung der Münsteraner Clemenskirche orientiert sich an diesem Bauwerk. (de)

- La collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo (in latino: Ecclesia collegiata Beatae Mariae Virginis Dei Matris in Coelum Assumptae) è il principale luogo di culto cattolico del comune di Ariccia, nell'area dei Castelli Romani, in città metropolitana di Roma Capitale e sede suburbicaria di Albano. Una collegiata con questa denominazione esisteva ad Ariccia fin dal VI secolo, ma l'attuale edificio con prospetto principale sulla monumentale piazza di Corte è stato costruito tra il 1663 ed il 1665 per interessamento della famiglia Chigi su progetto di Gian Lorenzo Bernini, con il contributo di altri importanti artisti attivi a Roma nel Seicento. La chiesa, inserita tra i beni monumentali schedati della provincia di Roma, è oggi la principale sede parrocchiale del comune, unita alla parrocchia del santuario di Santa Maria di Galloro. (it)
