- In Reims existierten im Mittelalter zwei Frauenklöster gleichzeitig, die den Namen Saint-Pierre trugen. Sie lagen nicht weit voneinander entfernt und wurden durch die zusätzliche Bezeichnung d’en-Bas und d’en-Haut unterschieden. Während die eine Abtei zumindest vom Ende des 6. Jahrhunderts bis zur Revolution existierte, verschwand die andere, spätestens Anfang des 9. Jahrhunderts gegründete, noch vor dem Ende des Mittelalters. (de)

- Saint-Pierre-les-Dames (L'Abbaye royale de Saint-Pierre-les-Dames de Reims) was a convent of Benedictine nuns established in the city of Reims for over a thousand years, from the early Middle Ages to the time of the French Revolution. The monastery was certainly in existence by the reign of Charlemagne, and according to some sources dated from as early as the 6th century, although it has been argued that the earlier date could be due to confusion with a different and shorter-lived monastery in the city, also dedicated to St Peter. Renée de Lorraine (1522–1602), daughter of Claude, Duke of Guise, was abbess for 56 years, from 1546 to her death, throughout the French Wars of Religion. In 1560 her sister, Mary of Guise, mother of Mary, Queen of Scots, was buried in the abbey church. During the same year, Mary Queen of Scots herself spent some time in the abbey when mourning the death of her first husband, Francis II of France, as well as her mother, and she donated his prayer book to the monastery library. - Saint-Pierre-les-Dames (L'Abbaye royale de Saint-Pierre-les-Dames de Reims) foi um convento de freiras beneditinas estabelecida na cidade de Reims por mais de mil anos, desde o começo da Idade Média até a época da Revolução Francesa. O mosteiro já existia certamente durante o reinado de Carlos Magno, e segundo algumas fontes datadas já no século VI, embora tenha sido argumentado que a data anterior pode ser devida à confusão com um mosteiro diferente e de vida mais curta no cidade, também dedicada a São Pedro. Renée de Lorraine (1522–1602), filha de Claude, duque de Guise, foi abadessa por 56 anos, de 1546 até sua morte, durante as Guerras Religiosas da França. Em 1560, sua irmã, Maria de Guise, mãe de Maria, Rainha dos Escoceses, foi enterrada na igreja da abadia. Durante o mesmo ano, Maria Rainha da Escócia passou algum tempo na abadia quando lamentava a morte de seu primeiro marido, Francisco II da França, bem como de sua mãe, e ela doou seu livro de oração para a biblioteca do mosteiro.
