- Les conférences Scandinavian Symposium and Workshops on Algorithm Theory (abrégée en SWAT) et ''Algorithms and Data Structures Symposium (abrégée en WADS) sont des conférences scientifiques biennales dans le domaine de l’informatique théorique et notamment de l'algorithmique et des structures de données. WADS a lieu les années impaires, en général au Canada et toujours en Amérique du Nord. La conférence jumelle, le Scandinavian Symposium and Workshops on Algorithm Theory (SWAT), a lieu les années paires, en général en Scandinavie et toujours en Europe du Nord. Les actes des deux conférences sont publiées par Springer dans leur série Lecture Notes in Computer Science jusqu'en 2015. - The Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) (Bengali: বিশেষ অস্ত্র ও কার্যপদ্ধতি, সোয়াট) is the police tactical unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police of the Bangladesh Police. They operate under Special Action Group of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime. The SWAT was formed to recover illegal arms and arrest hardcore terrorists and has a vital role in neutralizing any and all threats. The SWAT has been regularly deployed outside of Dhaka to respond to terrorist incidents. The Bangladesh Police plans to establish anti-terrorism operational units similar to SWAT in all of the Metropolitan Police. A Crisis Response Team (CRT) has been established in Chittagong, Sylhet and in Rajshahi that were trained in the United States and in Jordan. (en)
