- SS Delphic byl nákladní parník o hrubé prostornosti 8 006 BRT vybudovaný v roce 1917 v loděnicích v Belfastu pro společnost původně pod jiným jménem. Po jeho spuštění na vodu byl počátkem roku 1918 okamžitě převzat britskou armádou pro válečné účely a přejmenován na War Icarus. Krátce po skončení války v tomtéž roce ho odkoupila a přejmenovala na Masaba. V roce 1925 tato společnost společně s White Star Line vstoupila do sdružení a parník připadl White Star Line, která jej přejmenovala na Delphic. Pro ni převážel náklad dalších 8 let, kdy byl v roce 1933 prodán . Ta jej přejmenovala na Clan Farquhar a používala jej až do roku 1948, kdy byl sešrotován. (cs)
- The Delphic was a British freighter operated by the White Star Line, the company's second ship to bear this name. She was built by the Harland & Wolff shipyards in 1916 to serve the war effort under the name of War Icarus, belonging to the series of "Type G" cargo ships. Launched in September 1918 and commissioned in the following October, she was the only ship in the series to be completed before the end of the First World War. During this time, she was operated by a Liverpool company. In 1919, she was bought by the Atlantic Transport Line, which renamed her Mesaba and operated her for six years. She was then transferred to Atlantic's sister company, White Star, in 1925, and renamed Delphic, to replace another cargo ship of the same type that had been damaged the previous year, Bardic. For the next eight years, the ship served on the Australian service. In 1933, the company, preparing to merge with the Cunard Line, sold off its now unwanted ships. Delphic was sold, along with sister ship Gallic, to the Clan Line which renamed her Clan Farquhar. She continued to operate on the route to Australia until she was withdrawn for scrapping in 1948, after a total of thirty years of service. (en)

Il est construit par les chantiers Harland & Wolff en 1916 pour servir l'effort de guerre sous le nom de War Icarus, appartenant à la série des cargos de « type G ». Lancé en septembre 1918 et mis en service au mois d'octobre suivant, il est le seul navire de la série à être terminé avant la fin de la Première Guerre mondiale. Il est durant cette époque exploité par une compagnie de Liverpool. En 1919, il est acheté par l'Atlantic Transport Line qui le renomme Mesaba et l'exploite pendant six ans. Il est ensuite transféré, en 1925, à une compagnie sœur, la White Star, qui le renomme Delphic et l'utilise pour remplacer un autre cargo du même type échoué l'année précédente, le Bardic. Durant les huit années suivantes, le navire sert sur la ligne à destination de l'Australie. En 1933, la compagnie s'apprêtant à fusionner avec la Cunard Line, elle se sépare de ses navires inutiles. Le Delphic est alors vendu, comme un autre de ses jumeaux, le Gallic, à la qui le renomme Clan Farquhar.
