- SMV je americká jazzová basová superskupina založená v roce 2008. Jejími členy jsou Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller a Victor Wooten, název je vytvořen z počátečních písmen křestních jmen členů kapely. 12. srpna 2008 vydali SMV své debutové album Thunder. (cs)
- SMV was a bass guitar supergroup formed in 2008. The group's name comes from the first initials of each of its members, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten. The collaboration gained momentum when the three first played together at a concert held by Bass Player magazine in New York City in 2006, where Miller and Wooten joined on stage to present Clarke with the magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award. - Gli S.M.V. sono un supergruppo fusion formatosi nel 2006 da tre innovativi e creativi bassisti: Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller e Victor Wooten. Il nome deriva dall'unione delle iniziali dei loro nomi, Stanley (S), Marcus (M), Victor (V). Il progetto nasce nel 2006 in occasione di una improvvisata performance live tenutasi a New York ed organizzata dalla rivista . I tre decidono di continuare e cementano l'affiatamento nei mesi a venire. Nasce così l'idea di realizzare un album. Il 12 agosto 2008 esce il loro album di debutto, Thunder, registrato con la collaborazione di altri musicisti, e supportato da un tour mondiale. (it)
