- Twist Total ist eine australische Familienserie nach den Kurzgeschichten von . Für die dritte und vierte Staffel wurden eigenständige Handlungen geschrieben. Die Serie wurde 2000 auf dem kanadischen Banff World Television Festival mit einem Rockie Award in der Kategorie Best Children's Program ausgezeichnet. 2002 erhielt sie einen australischen Logie Award in der Kategorie Outstanding Children's Program. - La Familia Twist (título original Round the Twist) es una serie australiana de televisión sobre una familia de tres niños y su padre viudo que viven en un faro los cuales se ven envueltos en muchas aventuras bizarras. Solo cuatro series fueron hechas desde que el programa salió al aire. Las primeras dos series se basaron en las historias del autor Paul Jennings; las siguientes dos se basaron en varios autores. La primera serie se hizo en 1989. La segunda serie, con muchos personajes hechos por otros actores, fue hecha en 1992. La tercera serie volvió a cambiar los actores principales, y se hizo en 1999, finalmente la cuarta (con algunos papeles hechos por nuevos actores) se hizo en el 2000. La canción distintiva del programa, con la letra “¿si algún día… te has sentido así?” ( “have you ever… ever felt like this?”) es interpretada por Tasmin West, quien interpretó el papel de Linda en la primera serie. - Round the Twist, in Nederland ook bekend als De Vuurtorenfamilie, en in België als De Spooktoren is een Australische jeugdserie uit 1989. De serie werd oorspronkelijk geproduceerd door de en uitgezonden door Seven Network (vanaf het tweede seizoen door Australian Broadcasting Corporation). In Nederland werd de serie uitgezonden door de NPO (VARA, later AVRO) en Kindernet. De serie vertelt het verhaal van weduwnaar Tony Twist, zijn twee zoons en zijn dochter, die het stedelijke leven inruilen voor het idyllische vissersdorpje Port Niranda (fictief) aan de zuidkust van Australië. Ze betrekken de lokale vuurtoren, maar daar blijkt het te spoken. Erger nog, het hele dorpje blijkt een enorme aantrekkingskracht te hebben op het paranormale, met de vuurtoren als middelpunt. De vuurtoren wordt ook nog eens doorlopend bedreigd door een makelaar die er appartementen voor in de plaats wil bouwen. Bizarre, grappige en soms enge avonturen zijn het gevolg. (nl)

Muitas cenas externas foram filmadas na região do Split Point Lighthouse em Aireys Inlet, Victória, na Austrália. Supostamente, o programa fez muito mais sucesso em outros países do que na Austrália, onde foi exibido no canal CBBC da BBC, no início da década de 1990. No Brasil, o seriado foi exibido pela TV Cultura, Discovery Kids e pela TVE-Rede Brasil. A música-tema é cantada por Tamsin West, que fez o papel de Linda na primeira temporada.
