- Das Kloster Ross Errilly (auch Rosserrilly, Rosseriall Friary, Ross Friary, irisch Mainistir an Rois, Mainistir Ros Oirialaigh) ist ein ehemaliges Franziskanerkloster im äußersten Norden des Countys Galway in Irland. Die Ruinen der Ross Errilly Friary liegen ungefähr zwei Kilometer nordwestlich von Headford und etwa 150 m vom entfernt, der sechs Kilometer weiter in den Lough Corrib (See) mündet. Der Fluss bildet die Grenze zwischen den Countys Galway und Mayo. Ross Errilly gehört zu den besser erhaltenen, mittelalterlichen Franziskanerklöstern des Landes. Die Kirche mit zentralem quadratischen Glockenturm (von 1498) gehört zum Kloster. Unter den im Erdgeschoss nahezu komplett erhaltenen Außenmauern der Klosterräume sind eine Küche (mit Ofen und einem Wasserbehälter für Fische), ein Backhaus und das Refektorium, der Speiseraum identifizierbar. Eine Besonderheit für Franziskanerklöster bildet ein zweiter Hof. Die Schlafsäle der Mönche lagen auf der oberen, nicht erhaltenen Ebene. Wie andere aufgelassene christliche Stätten in Irland ist auch das Gelände der Kirche von Ross Errilly als Friedhof verwendet worden. Zusätzlich zu denen der aktiven Periode der Friary sind innerhalb der Kirche Gräber aus dem 18. bis 20. Jahrhundert zu finden. In einigen Fällen liegen Grabplatten auf dem Boden. (de)

- The Ross Errilly Friary (Irish: Mainistir an Rois, often anglicised in 18th and 19th century sources as Rosserelly) is a medieval Franciscan friary located about a mile to the northwest of Headford, County Galway, Ireland. It is a National Monument of Ireland and among the best-preserved medieval monastic sites in the country. Though usually referred to by locals as "Ross Abbey," this is not technically correct as the community never had an abbot. The church and bell tower are to the south of a small but well preserved central cloister and domestic buildings are to the north. Amongst these are a kitchen (equipped with an oven and a water tank for live fish), a bake house, and a refectory or dining area. The dormitories are on the upper levels. One unusual feature is a second courtyard or cloister, built to accommodate the friary's growing population. Like many other abandoned Christian sites in Ireland, Ross Errilly has continued to be used as a burial ground by area residents. In addition to tombs that date from the friary's active period, many graves dating from the 18th through 20th centuries can be found inside the church walls. In some cases, tombstones comprise the floors of walkways and crawlspaces. (en)

C'est l'un des sites médiévaux les mieux conservés du pays. L'église et le clocher sont situés d'un côté d'un petit cloître central, et les bâtiments d'habitation, de l'autre. On y remarque notamment une cuisine (équipée d'une cheminée monumentale et d'un bassin destiné à des poissons vivants), une boulangerie et un réfectoire. Les dortoirs se situaient aux étages supérieurs. L'existence d'une cour intérieure secondaire est une caractéristique inhabituelle.
