- Delta atracotoxin (δ-ACTX-Ar1, robustoxin, or robustotoxin) is a low-molecular-weight neurotoxic polypeptide found in the venom of the Sydney funnel-web spider (Atrax robustus). Delta atracotoxin produces potentially fatal neurotoxic symptoms in primates, by slowing the inactivation of sodium ion channels in autonomic and motor neurons. In the spiders' intended insect prey, the toxin exerts this same activity upon potassium and calcium ion channels. The structure of atracotoxin comprises a core with a cystine knot motif, a feature seen in other neurotoxic polypeptides. (en)
* Delta-ACTX-Ar1 (alias Delta-Atracotoxin-Ar1a, Delta-Hexatoxin-Ar1a, Delta-HXTX-Ar1a, Robustoxin, RBX, oder Robustotoxin) der Sydney-Trichternetzspinne (Atrax robustus)
* Delta-ACTX-Hv1 (alias Versutoxin) und Delta-ACTX-Hv1b der Blue-Mountains-Trichternetzspinne , Versutoxin auch bei der Sydney-Trichternetzspinne.
* Magi 4, Neurotoxin der Spinne (Vogelspinnenartige)
* Delta-Missulenatoxin-Mb1a von (englisch Eastern mouse spider) Das Peptid Hi1a im Gift einer weiteren Spezies dieser Gattung, der (Darling-Downs-Trichternetzspinne, Hadronyche infensa), könnte als Medikament gegen die Spätfolgen eines Schlaganfalls wirken (siehe Spinnengift in der Medizin). (de)
