- Robert Lewis Drysdale (born October 5, 1981) is a Brazilian-American Brazilian jiu-jitsu 4th degree black belt under Léo Vieira, a retired mixed martial artist and an instructor at his own BJJ academy, "Drysdale Jiu-Jitsu". Having won multiple World Championships, he was referred to by Vice magazine as "America's jiu-jitsu superhero", regarded by BJJ Heroes as "the most accomplished American grappler of his generation" and as the best Submission Wrestler in the World by Gracie Magazine. Drysdale remains the only American to have won the two most prestigious titles in all of jiu-jitsu including the IBJJF World Championship and the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship – Open Division ADCC, submitting Marcelo Garcia in just over two minutes. That same year he was regarded as the best Submission Wrestler in the World by Gracie Magazine. (en)

Sua mãe é brasileira, e ele se mudou para o Brasil em 1987 (aos seis anos). Ainda jovem, ele se mudou para Las Vegas, Nevada para começar a faculdade. Enquanto morava nos EUA, Drysdale começou a treinar Jiu Jitsu Brasileiro com Lewis-Pederneiras em 1998 e conseguiu uma vitória por finalização sobre Marcelo Garcia em 2007. (pt)
